This was a really interesting project for us. The existing house had non-standard foundations known as “swallow hole” foundations. This meant we had to have unique metal cages designed and tested that allowed for the specific construction requirements of properties in this area.
We removed the rear wall of the house and ended up with an amazing kitchen-dining space at the rear of the property.
After completion, we were asked to carry out external work and install a patio that wrapped around the house and extension, making it feel like it flowed out from the inside.
It was an interesting project to work on that created some challenging issues and resulted in a stunning finish for our client.
