We were initially asked to remove some large and ugly steel beam supports, which we suggested was not worth doing due to the cost. We were enlisted to do a simple renovation of this old extension; unfortunately for the customer, once we had started taking apart the old work, we found some severely dangerous structural work, including steel beams that were not properly supported and brickwork that was built dangerously. We advised our client to take the structure down and rebuild it properly.
The result was a stunning new kitchen diner area with new black framed windows, 2 electric opening roof lights and a beautiful parquet floor that flowed down the steps into the children’s new playroom.
A stunning and, most importantly, safe rebuild and renovation.
